Vintage Czech Bohemian amethyst cut to clear amethyst crystal basket 6” x 6”

With Czech crystal, cut to clear is prized around the world for its clarity and brilliant reflective qualities. This beautiful crystal basket is a lovely example of that fine craftsmanship. Artisans create these pieces using an overlay technique where a layer of colored glass was fused over clear crystal before being meticulously hand-cut with abrasive wheels to reveal the clear base beneath. The purple amethyst color is rich and vibrant, and will add a touch of elegant sophistication to any display or space. In a space with light- so sparkly! Excellent condition, no chips, cracks or repairs. So special.
