Vintage signed tall studio pottery pitcher with reactive glazes- 9” x 6”

Fabulous example of mid century art studio pottery, this piece is artist signed. Studio pottery was a distinct artistic movement of mid to late 20th century where utility meets sculptural art design. Artisans glazed by hand dipping or spraying multiple metallic oxides to create rich, layered surfaces that capture motion and depth. The glazes, as evident in this piece, often achieved complex, unpredictable expressions of color. This deep brown pitcher is highlighted by ivory, red, and blues that make this lovely piece so special. Stands 9” tall and 6” wide at the handle. Excellent condition- no chips, cracks or repairs.
