Qing Dynasty Chinese blue and white porcelain vase 9.5” x 4”

Lovely example of late 19th century porcelain in subtle greenish-blue tints characteristic of the Qing time period. Artisans carefully applied cobalt oxide pigments to the raw clay body before covering it with clear or slightly tinted glaze before firing at high temperatures. This vase has traditional bird and floral designs and has a wax mark on the bottom with Asian writing stamped in it. Excellent condition- no chips, cracks or repairs. Exquisite!
